SUMMARY:Grace Potter
DESCRIPTION:Murmrr Presents: Grace Potter \n  \nNeed to Know \n\nThis is an all-ages show\nSeating: Standing Room\nDoors and Ballroom Bar Opens at 8pm/Music begins at 9pm\nGA ticket-buyers must purchase a parking pass if planning on driving/parking\nWe invite you to join us before or after your show for bites\, dinner and/or drinks at Good Ground Tavern\, our restaurant on property\, operated by Union Square Events\, a Danny Meyer concept. Reservations suggested\, walk-ins welcomed.\n\n  \nAbout Grace Potter  \nBack in summer 2021\, acclaimed singer\, songwriter\, multi-instrumentalist\, band leader\, and rock and roll performer Grace Potter took off on a solo cross-country road trip that would soon bring a life-saving reconnection with her most unbridled self. The Vermont-born artist spent the coming weeks crashing in roadside motels and taking time each night to transcribe the song ideas she’d dreamed up behind the wheel\, often scrawling those notes onto the backs of postcards and motel notepads. After completing two more trips on her own—Potter flew to Nashville for a series of recording sessions that resulted in her most magnificently unfettered collection of songs to date. Equal parts fearlessly raw memoir and carnivalesque fable\, Mother Road is a body of work that goes far beyond the typical album experience. \n“Mother Road is a reframing of my understanding of my history\,” she says. “It’s an important and powerful perspective I’d never had until this record\, and the heart of it is my journey to self-reliance and a sense of worthiness.” The follow-up to 2019’s Daylight—a release that earned GRAMMY nominations for Best Rock Album\, and Best Rock Performance—Mother Road (due August 18\, 2023\, via Fantasy Records) fuses elements of soul\, blues\, country\, and timeless rock-and-roll with masterful abandon. Produced by Eric Valentine (Queens of the Stone Age\, Slash\, and Weezer) and recorded at RCA’s famed Studio A\, the LP is an essential insight into the endless nuances of life and love and belonging. And after thousands of miles on the road\, countless nights at seedy motels\, and a heartrending return home\, Potter has made her way to the kind of creative freedom that leaves both artist and audience indelibly altered—a freedom that’s undeniably led to her masterpiece.

SUMMARY:Dark Star Orchestra
DESCRIPTION:Murmrr Presents: Dark Star Orchestra  \n  \nNeed to Know \n\nThis event is standing room only.\nDoors and Ballroom Bar Opens at 7pm/Music begins at 8pm\nGA ticket-buyers must purchase a parking pass if planning on driving/parking\nWe invite you to join us before or after your show for bites\, dinner and/or drinks at Good Ground Tavern\, our restaurant on property\, operated by Union Square Events\, a Danny Meyer concept. Reservations suggested\, walk-ins welcomed.\n\n  \nAbout Dark Star Orchestra  \nPerforming to critical acclaim for over 20 years and over 3000 shows\, Dark Star Orchestra continues the Grateful Dead live concert experience. Their shows are built off the Dead’s extensive catalog and the talent of these seven fine musicians. On any given night\, the band will perform a show based on a set list from the Grateful Dead’s 30 years of extensive touring or use their catalog to program a unique set list for the show. This allows fans both young and old to share in the experience. By recreating set lists from the past\, and by developing their own sets of Dead songs\, Dark Star Orchestra offers a continually evolving artistic outlet within this musical canon. Honoring both the band and the fans\, Dark Star Orchestra’s members seek out the unique style and sound of each era while simultaneously offering their own informed improvisations. \nDark Star Orchestra offers much more than the sound of the Grateful Dead\, they truly encapsulate the energy and the experience. It’s about a sense of familiarity. It’s about a feeling that grabs listeners and takes over. It’s about that contagious energy…in short\, it’s about the complete experience and consistent quality show that the fan receives when attending a Dark Star Orchestra show. \nDark Star Orchestra has performed throughout the entire United States\, including a sold out debut at Colorado’s Red Rocks Park & Amphitheater\, plus shows in Europe and the Caribbean with the band touching down in seven different countries. DSO continues to grow its fan base by playing at larger venues for two and even three-night stands\, as well as performing at major music festivals including Bonnaroo\, Milwaukee’s SummerFest\, The Peach Music Festival\, Jam Cruise\, Wanee Festival\, SweetWater 420 Festival\, Mountain Jam\, and many more. \nIn addition to appearing at some of the nation’s top festival\, Dark Star Orchestra hosts its own annual music festival and campaign gathering\, titled the “Dark Star Jubilee”\, currently in its eighth year where DSO headline all three nights and are joined by a mix of established and up and coming national touring acts. Beyond the shores of the United States\, DSO has taken its internationally-acclaimed Grateful Dead tribute to the beaches of Jamaica in the dead of winter for the past six years\, with their event appropriately titled ‘Jam in the Sand’. Featuring an ocean-side stage\, DSO sets up camp to perform shows for four nights along the tropical sands of an all-inclusive resort\, selling out the event each year for hundreds of lucky attendees. \nFans and critics haven’t been the only people caught up in the spirit of a Dark Star show. The band has featured guest performances from six original Grateful Dead members Phil Lesh\, Bob Weir\, Bill Kreutzmann\, Donna Jean Godchaux-MacKay\, Vince Welnick\, Tom Constanten and even toured with longtime Dead soundman\, Dan Healy. Other notable guests have included Mike Gordon and Jon Fishman of Phish\, Keller Williams\, Warren Haynes\, Steve Kimock\, Peter Rowan\, Ramblin’ Jack Elliot and many more. \n“For us it’s a chance to recreate some of the magic that was created for us over the years\,” keyboardist and vocalist Rob Barraco explains. “We offer a sort of a historical perspective at what it might have been like to go to a show in 1985\, 1978 or whenever. Even for Deadheads who can say they’ve been to a hundred shows in the 90s\, we offer something they never got to see live.”

SUMMARY:Cyrille Aimée and Cordeone
DESCRIPTION:Need to Know \n\nThis is an intimate outdoor concert on our Garden Lawn (weather permitting)\nChairs will be provided and lawn seating opens at 7pm\nMusic begins at 8pm\nBlankets will be available (first come\, first serve basis)\nWe invite you to join us before or after your show for bites\, dinner and/or drinks at Good Ground Tavern\, our restaurant on property\, operated by Union Square Events\, a Danny Meyer concept. Reservations suggested\, walk-ins welcomed\nSelect beer\, wine & cocktails will be available for purchase during the show\nAll-ages welcome\n\n  \nCyrille Aimée and Cordeone come together for an extraordinary collaboration. Cyrille’s voice\, described as “a rare gift—a mix of elegance\, playfulness\, and profound depth” (New York Times)\, pairs perfectly with Cordeone’s accordion\, praised as “a masterclass in nuance and inventiveness” (Jazzwise). This debut performance promises a unique blend of vocal artistry and instrumental innovation\, offering fresh interpretations and captivating musical moments. \nCyrille Aimée grew up in a multilingual household full of music where dancing was an everyday activity\, soundtracked by the Afro-Caribbean sounds of her mother’s native Dominican Republic. The family home was in Samois-sur-Seine\, the location of the Django Reinhardt Festival\, and the teenage Cyrille would climb out of her bedroom window at night to mingle with the players\, igniting a passion for jazz. \nMoving to New York City\, her talents quickly gained her a reputation among her peers as a matchless interpreter of song. She performed and recorded with Roy Hargrove and stole the show in front of the notoriously hard-to-please crowd at the Harlem Apollo. Steven Sondheim invited her to star in a tribute at New York’s City Centre\, backed by Wynton Marsalis. Her 2019 album Move On featured versions of Sondheim’s songs which received praise from Sondheim himself\, and her version of “Marry Me a Little“\, was nominated for a 2019 Grammy Award. \nAt the height of her New York success\, new horizons beckoned. Visiting New Orleans\, she fell in love with the energy and diversity of the city and made it her home. Linking back to New York to connect up all the dots\, she teamed up with producer/multi-instrumentalist Jake Sherman\, and together they have created her latest album\, A Fleur de Peau. to be released on a new label\, the London-based imprint Whirlwind Recordings \nCombining the depth and sophistication of jazz\, the immediacy of pop\, the irrepressible dance rhythms of the Caribbean\, it’s more intimate and more accessible than anything Cyrille has done before. \n
