Michael Roth will touch on today’s hot-button topics of affirmative action, political correctness, and free speech, which he writes about in his book, Safe Enough Spaces: A Pragmatist’s Approach to Inclusion, Free Speech, and Political Correctness on College Campuses. The historian, curator, and teacher is also a public advocate for a “pragmatic liberal education” — the cornerstone of his work as president of Wesleyan University for the past 16 years.
