Reception & Arrival
Hotel guests may enter the property via the front entrance off Montauk Highway, leading directly to the lobby and valet check-in.
The back entrance off Newtown Road leads through The Terrace to the main hotel and valet check-in.

What time is check-in/check-out?
Standard check-in time is 4:00pm and standard check-out time is 12:00pm.
Is early check-in or late check-out available?
We’re pleased to offer early check-in or late check-out when possible; relevant fees may apply and are subject to availability. If your room is not ready upon arrival, we are happy to stow your luggage, and you are welcome to enjoy full use of the property and our dining outlets until your room is ready.
What are the front desk & lobby hours?
Open 24 hours daily for guest assistance.
Is smoking allowed on the property?
Smoking is not permitted inside the hotel; however, it is allowed in designated outdoor areas of the property.
Is wi-fi available? Is it free?
High-speed internet is available wirelessly across the property and is complimentary for all registered guests.
Can my luggage be stored at the hotel?
Yes, we can safely store your luggage during your stay.
Can you receive and hold my packages at the hotel?

Do you allow photo shoots?
Yes, photo shoots may be arranged through our Events team by email events@canoeplace.com.
Do you have a rewards program?
We don’t currently have a rewards program.

Are there additional fees? Destination/Resort Fees?
Resort Fee
Canoe Place Signature Amenities: The little touches that make your stay exceptional. A Resort Fee of 6% of your total stay is charged to each room which provides amenities to help you unwind. Amenities include:
- Courtesy Vehicles for Transportation (seasonal): Available by request and will travel within a 6-mile radius of the hotel on a pickup/drop-off basis. Reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Complimentary Valet Parking (seasonal)
- Fitness Classes (seasonal): Yoga is offered complimentary on the Event Lawn, please check in with the front desk for the schedule. Our Fitness Center is on the lower level, outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment, and open 24 hours a day. Access for guests is complimentary.

Do rooms have private restrooms?
Yes, every room, and suite at Canoe Place Inn includes its own private bathroom for your comfort and convenience.
Are there cots or cribs available for infants?
Cribs are available upon request. Rollaway beds can also be arranged for select room types, based on availability.

Accessible suites are available within our Inn via a conveniently located elevator, and one of our restored cottages is one-level and accessible without steps.

Cancellation policy varies by season, please see your confirmation email for more details.
Rates & Deposit
Room rates are subject to applicable sales and local taxes. All reservations require a credit card deposit of 50% of the stay due at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be charged upon arrival.

Do you have an early departure fee?
Yes, an early departure will incur a one-night penalty.
Is my ID/passport required at check-in?

Yes, guests must be 18 or older to check into a room.
Do you have connecting rooms?
A limited number of connecting rooms are available upon request.

Are group rates available?
Group rates are available. Our Events Team can connect you with our Group Sales department to assist with booking a room block for your event or gathering.

Is outside catering allowed?
Outside catering is not permitted. All food and beverage services are provided exclusively by Canoe Place Inn to ensure the highest quality and experience for your event.

We have a fully equipped fitness center available exclusively for guests, open 24/7.
Is there a business center on-site?
While we do not have a traditional business center, our team is happy to assist with printing, scanning, and other business needs upon request.
Is there a pool? What are the hours?
Yes, we have a heated, outdoor pool for guests to enjoy from May to October. Pool hours are typically from 8am to dusk, though hours may vary seasonally.
Is there a spa on site? What are the hours?
We’ve partnered with Sommet Beauty to provide a full-service spa experience, including massages, treatments, and wellness services. Check our Spa page for hours and to schedule your appointment.
Is there on-site laundry?

PETS
Are pets allowed on the property?/What is your pet policy?
One dog up to 45 pounds are welcome in select accommodations. Pets may not be left alone in guest rooms and must be leashed (or held) in all common areas of the property. Pets are not allowed in the hotel’s restaurants, bars, fitness center, spa, and pool area.
A nightly, non-refundable rate of $75 will be assessed as a dog cleaning fee. A $500/night fee will be assessed if pets are brought to the Inn, not reserved in a pet-friendly room, AND/OR exceed the 45lb limit. Do you have pet free rooms for those with allergies?
Yes! We offer pet-free rooms for guests with allergies. Just let us know when booking, and we’ll make sure your stay is comfortable and worry-free.
How far do you have to walk to take your pet out?
Please refer to the property map upon booking—our pet relief area is conveniently located just a few steps from the rooms, so your furry friends can enjoy some fresh air with ease.
Do you have pet sitting or dog walking services?
We don’t offer pet sitting or dog walking services on property, but our team is happy to recommend trusted local providers to help care for your furry friends.
