Canoe Place Inn & Cottages is approximately 90 miles from New York City, with an estimated driving time of around 1 hour and 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Begin by taking the Long Island Expressway (I-495 E) from Manhattan, heading east toward Riverhead. Exit at Exit 70 for County Road 111 S toward Eastport. Continue on County Road 111 S for about 5 miles, then merge onto NY-27 E (Sunrise Highway) toward Southampton. Proceed on NY-27 E for approximately 20 miles. Take Exit 65N for NY-24 N toward Hampton Bays and merge onto NY-24 N/Flanders Road. Turn right onto Montauk Highway (NY-27A E) and continue east through Hampton Bays. Canoe Place Inn & Cottages will be on your right at 239 East Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, NY 11946.
Parking: Complimentary self-parking is available for all guests. Valet service is offered seasonally.
By Train
The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) offers direct service to Hampton Bays from Penn Station or Grand Central Terminal. The Hampton Bays station is just 5 minutes from Canoe Place—and we’ll make getting here even easier.

Take the Hampton Jitney or Hampton Luxury Liner for a relaxed, scenic ride from NYC. We recommend booking in advance, especially on summer weekends. The closest stop is Hampton Bays, less than 10 minutes from the property.

From Port Jefferson Ferry Terminal: Canoe Place Inn & Cottages is approximately 70 miles from the Port Jefferson Ferry Terminal, with an estimated driving time of around 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on traffic. After disembarking the ferry, head southwest on NY-112 S toward the Long Island Expressway (I-495). Merge onto I-495 W and continue for about 10 miles. Take Exit 70 toward County Road 111 S/Manorville. Follow County Road 111 S for approximately 5 miles, then merge onto NY-27 E (Sunrise Highway) toward Southampton. Continue on NY-27 E for about 20 miles. Take Exit 65N for NY-24 N toward Hampton Bays. Merge onto NY-24 N/Flanders Road, then turn right onto Montauk Highway (NY-27A E). Continue east through Hampton Bays, and you’ll find Canoe Place Inn & Cottages on your right at 239 East Montauk Highway.

From Orient Point Ferry Terminal: Canoe Place Inn & Cottages is approximately 38 miles from the Orient Point Ferry Terminal, with an estimated driving time of around 55 minutes depending on traffic. After departing the terminal, head west on Main Road (NY-25 W), passing through the scenic North Fork towns of Greenport, Southold, and Mattituck. In Calverton, turn left onto Edwards Avenue (County Road 94), then merge onto NY-27 E (Sunrise Highway) toward Southampton/Montauk. Take Exit 65N for NY-24 N toward Hampton Bays and merge onto NY-24 N/Flanders Road. Turn right onto Montauk Highway (NY-27A E), continue through Hampton Bays, and you’ll find Canoe Place Inn & Cottages on your right at 239 East Montauk Highway.
