FeaturedCanoe Place Grand BallroomJoin us in the Grand Ballroom at Canoe Place as historian, writer, and New York Times contributor Terry Lavin explores the people, battles, and intelligence networks that defined Long Island’s pivotal role in 1776 and the founding of the United States. Through stories of the Battle of Long Island, the legendary Culper Spy Ring, and the families of Long Islanders, including signers to the Declaration of Independence — Lavin brings to life the individuals and events that shaped the American Revolution. Ballroom doors open at 5:30 PM / Presentation begins promptly at 6 PM.

The collaboration pairs Bar Rêve’s signature cocktail program with subtle seasonal influences inspired by the East End.
Throughout the residency, guests can experience cocktails crafted nightly by the New York team inside The Study, Canoe Place’s intimate cocktail space. Hotel guests can also enjoy a curated selection of spritzes and cocktail-inspired ice creams served poolside throughout the week, offering a relaxed extension of the residency’s French aperitif culture.
