Front Row Presents: 1776, and Long Island’s Role in the American Revolution
Join us in the Grand Ballroom at Canoe Place as historian, writer, and New York Times contributor Terry Lavin explores the people, battles, and intelligence networks that defined Long Island’s pivotal role in 1776 and the founding of the United States. Through stories of the Battle of Long Island, the legendary Culper Spy Ring, and the families of Long Islanders, including signers to the Declaration of Independence — Lavin brings to life the individuals and events that shaped the American Revolution. Ballroom doors open at 5:30 PM / Presentation begins promptly at 6 PM.
